We set for a 1000km trip last weekend, it was a feat I had been thinking for some time. Presented RE club with the idea and majority said their lives are fine as they are. Other 10 said yes and 7 of us finished in 19 hours of continuous riding. At speeds avereraging 80-90km with a decent number of stops for breakfast and dinner. We drove the country's highest mountain pass with a full moon, landing in the Central Valley around 10:30pm. We started at RE dealer same day at 02:45am.

Pic was taken at the 950km mark.

31km per liter of consumption for my 477.

No bad, I did 9 hours continuous riding, 3 of which in pouring rain, on my way back to Rishikesh. Of a total of 2500km.

the roads are good, only the weather was questionable:
I was soaked in spite of rain gear after those 3h and that's also why I did not stop until I reached Rishikesh. The idea of sitting in a Cafe while dripping wet was really un-sexy. So the only stops I had was for fuel twice. I think this 9h driving is my personal record since my ride to Germany in 2002 where I drove thru the day from dusk to dawn every day for 20 or so consecutive days.
