Finally I have a Lead, firstly I was told it was too hard then directed to a large Engineering company whom I doubt would be easy for me to deal with.
But this morning as My Bike was on the Dyno I bumped into a Machinist who said otherwise, so he will slot the holes 2mm each way, if the 2 bolts cant hold it will only vary a bit and no Valve to Piston contact.
Apparently to be done on a Milling machine with a Carbide tip !
Next week I shall be able to collect
 
will this be a unique thing or can we all share in your success?

the cam gear in adjustable version is now available for members but with 49 euros plus shipping a bit on the expensive side.

Without this "extra" that is Standard on the J series, you are unable to set the Cam. timing.
Unless you were to use a slotted OEM sprocket which is not marketed and probably not recommended ;)

This of course only has 2 bolts, I would feel safer with 3 so will certainly be fitting this long awaited improvement.

Allowing the accurate alignment of the marks of the sprocket should be our goal with this. What else is expected? Any other tweaks needed when doing this mod?
 
No but you will need to hold and turn the Cam with water pump pliers or similar when you have the crank at TDC and the chain tensioned, almost a 2 person job 😉
Also this is no good if you dont be super careful and line up TDC.

Which is the Line and not the T:).

Apart from that it allows you to advance or retard the timing if you think you are on to something, like advance for power early retard for power late:unsure:
