Are high flow filters needed? Or not?

As stated by DNA DNA flow rate = 94.78cfm RE standard filter = 71.64cfm
1cf = 28.317 L
Big bore kit 477cc = 0,477L revving at 7000rpm /2 ( one in 2strokes is intake ) = 1669.5Lpm = 58 cfm, so less than the maximum air flow rate of the standard filter.
So shouldn't the standard filter be capable of flowing feely with an open DNA type plate ?
What do you think?

I dont know but @Dool also thinks the paper filter is good enough. I have one foam filter on my 500cc carby where I removed the airbox and use the paper version on my BS6 500cc. The advantage (or lack thereof) will be so minuscule that only a Dyno could catch it. I once removed the air filter for a few hundred km just to check if I can feel the difference. I could not.

Paper filter is Huge , I do prefer it reversed as in an Aibox delete but understand some prefer to keep the Air box perhaps because it also holds the Battery.
Removal of the Airbox creates a lot of space.
