Its Raining or I would go out and take 2 pics to prove this, there is 2 different manifolds for the Himalayan casting number is different also! 😉 and its about the Angle!

I found out about this by accident, in the process of trying to find out why my 500 doesn't pull wheelies.

To install a generic larger Throttle Body I needed to buy an Aluminum "stub manifold" lucky it was over engineered here in Oz because I determined that it needed modification and it was thick enough for the amount of material that needed to be removed, to be removed with my Belt Sander:cool: and so I did! So first pic shows the angle with the stub adaptor before the Beltsander changed it 15 Deg.

Second and third pic shows the damage done by the Beltsander😉

4 and 5 show a now straighter Inlet manifold, whether it equals wheelies is yet to be seen.

Silastic on the mating surfaces?

Also: are there any differences between the two different manifolds?

Yes the number 😁
And the angle IMG_20230331_113454.jpgIMG_20230331_113502.jpgIMG_20230331_113525.jpg. 4mm gasket paper

Which of the two is not installed on the 500cc? (And previously on the 443) so let's say the golden unit? SBC1 or SBC2?
2 was on the 500, 1 was on the shelf! Brand new I must have ordered it sometime, not sure what is on the 443cc.
I'm hoping the change in angle is an improvement and doesn't require the seat to to be raised or something.

Last words that are not made Famous here. "Almost Done" :(
This has proven to be not as Simple as I thought it would be, the Inlet Manifold ( part number 576141/A, perhaps! ) is made in India and is a Cast aluminum Alloy item, the Stub Manifold adaptor is made of Aluminum also but the sort of Aluminum that they build Airplanes out of.
So I have another Plan/waste of Time, I will cut down a OEM Manifold to take the rubber that holds the TB, the Injector Holder may be in the way so I will not enter all these Parameters into the computer but rely on that other system:ROFLMAO:IMG_20230402_001457_resized_20230402_123936418.jpg

The Other System may be working!, getting close, in more ways than one, the TB now sits closer to the Engine :giggle:
The Spacer for the Injector will need to be modified to clear the Rubber Manifold adaptor and I need to cut a groove to grip the Rubber well.
took less than 2 hours which is less than a quarter of the time spent on the other Manifold:(IMG_20230402_221326_resized_20230402_105618975.jpgIMG_20230402_221737_resized_20230402_105619295.jpgIMG_20230402_224522_resized_20230402_105619554.jpg

Nearly done, not long now!
Injector is in the way, I can Grind the steel spacer but not the Injector!
Chose to make a New Throttle Cable as this TB is a bit Different and so needs to follow the Clutch cable routing, well it would but this is H2 and its got a Hydraulik Klutch :)
Glad I have a Oxy Acet set up to Weld/Solder. the 'Spare Cable Kit' I bought on eBay had a selection of totally useless ends.
I drilled 1.5mm holes in a Tap washer that had a Copper shaft nearly the right size and a Gas stove Jet that looked to be Brass, I Silver soldered these to the ( only part of the Kit that has been of any use!) thin cable and filed them to suit, it took up a fair [art of the Day finishing this Manifold and fitting the Head Number 4 that was on the underperforming 500 left me no time to ride.
Whats the use of having more than one motorcycle:unsure:

Waiting for the Glue to dry, I will need to improve on this manifold but this should be good for a result, IAT sensor reads close to the Ambient on the Dash I would thinkIMG_20230404_115146_resized_20230404_075039689.jpgIMG_20230404_120227_resized_20230404_075039900.jpgIMG_20230404_143825_resized_20230404_075040193.jpg

So now the 443 has the 500s Head with a 36mm TB held on by Gorilla Glue and a Stainless steel strap and the Throttle cable end is a Jet from a Gas Stove.

I'm ready ;) and have shifted my only Phone mount in preparation for a 0 to 100 run, this time I am having the phone Horizontal facing the Satellites:)

I may have missed it but what app are you using to obtain your run times?
