Noobie Questions!

Hi, I joined the forum a couple of weeks ago, but have only just got round to start asking questions!! :)

I'm in the UK & have a 2022 Euro 5 Himalayan, which came with a Tec cam, Hi-flow air filter & exhaust system.

Am interested in the 477 upgrade, but not sure if it will work with the changes already made, maybe somone could point me in the right direction!! :)

Another question, is the cylinder supplied with the kit a standard 411 cylinder that has been overbored/re-sleeved?

Many thanks - Shirty

Hi Shirty and welcome!

to answer your questions (which are all answered in the FAQ btw)

yes, it will go very well with TEC cam and the other improvements your bike already has. in fact they are recommended.

the 477 cylinder has a new liner aka sleeve and a forged piston (the oem is cast)
Thanks for your reply Sam, very helpful :)

Another question regarding the use of the additional electronic ECU unit; presumably I need the FuelX Pro module to go with the BB kit, I guess leaving it as standard or using the FuelX lite won't be beneficial?

Thanks

presumably I need the FuelX Pro module
while you CAN use FuelX Pro (not lite) it is only an additional gimmick - it is not needed. I have it on my BS6 but can not really get much out of it.
You must have the Powertronic which is a piggyback ecu that allows manipulation of all riding conditions, not just he o2 sensor related (like fuelx does).
The map file with a 477 baseline are available after you have been registered as "dev" member, they may need add. tweaking.

Again, thanks for the info! :) (y)
