Replacing the SCRAM tripper for a tachometer (or adding a tacho)

I have not done it nor do I have a Scram BUT it seems a good idea and if anyone here has done it - please share how the cabling is done.

Or you can try this tip from REDDIT:

Run some copper wire from the spark plug and stick it in your mouth. You should be able to feel the electrical impulses on your tongue and with a quick calculation you can determine the engine speed based on that
