So we all use the T mark at some stage, and I am able to say I look down that Hole quite often :giggle:
Anyhow think about it,:)unsure:) , even if you can get your eye in the correct position you are lining it up with Pointer that is part of the casting of the sidecover, so it is hardly exact.
I found the actual TDC with this Gauge, it is not perfect but nor are you or me;)
Then I took a picture of the T mark , the Mark not the "T":cautious:.
Next I am going to insert a threaded tool into that Hole to ensure it is on that Correct angle and bash it with a Hammer!
That will give me a Punch mark which I will be able to use in the future:cool:

I would have completed this tonight but had a slip up with a Soft Hammer and compressed my Oil Cooler, Friggen 443 Barrel doesent want to come off so I resorted to Bashing it, that didnt work. TDC is what we set the Piston at ( haven't read the manual !)
So presumably we have to be confident that we have TDC, the picture in the Post above looks good, it is Not exact but Close.

The Picture above shows the End of Cam Line about where I would expect it to be But it is one link out!
What should be noticeable is the Sprocket marks do not line up with the End of Cam Line like an OEM or any of the aftermarket cams we are used to.
This a product of the Flange being on and off, we wanted a Decompressor and now we have it!

So it is Set at this position, and works fine:)
