Deja vu ?? frame breaks in the 450 !!

let me copy this comment from the YT vid bc it reflects what I would say:

Brilliant.. So the bottomline is if there is crash guard or there isn't a crash guard, if the bolts start to slowly undo themselves -- let's just say we talk hypothetically from an RE engine vibration perspective -- so, the bolts get loose over time, the rider doesn't know that, the graph spikes and the chassis snaps. So eventually it's not the crash guard, it's the design itself and that is, either you hate me or agree with me is a blunder from an engineering perspective.

I wanted to know more about the 450 frame break and put this into yt search

himalayan 450 frame break

and was surprised by the number of reports. It really is a 2018 Himalayan Deja Vu.

I asked Grok: can you estimate the number of himalayan 450 chassis breaks based on discussions on the internet?

Internet discussions, including forums, Reddit threads, articles, and social media posts, indicate that chassis breaks on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 are rare and typically linked to improper installation of aftermarket crash guards or loose engine mounting bolts, rather than inherent design flaws. The most frequently cited incidents involve just two confirmed cases from mid-2024, out of approximately 22,000 units sold globally by that time, equating to a failure rate of about 0.009%. Subsequent reports in 2025 mention a few additional instances (e.g., videos and posts referencing "another" break in July 2025), but these also attribute failures to aftermarket modifications and do not suggest widespread problems. Overall, public discussions point to fewer than 5 unique, verified chassis breaks documented online as of October 2025, with Royal Enfield addressing affected bikes under warranty and emphasizing the use of OEM accessories to avoid such issues. Given the bike's strong sales momentum (part of Royal Enfield's record monthly figures exceeding 75,000 units total in May 2025), this remains an extremely low occurrence rate.

btw: this is where AI shines, I could not check all the sources in HOURS that Grok checked in seconds

Did Grok give any references to where it got the information it relied upon to give the answer?

This is an opinion I hold on AI,

Your body manufacturers a substance called Endorphine ( your natural pain killer), so when you use Heroin for a period the body stops making endorphines ( making herion very hard to give up).
So if we stop using our brains and rely on AI, doesn't the brain stop being inquisitive?
