The "update" for the crank is ROYAL ENFIELD considers the crank and balancer as 1 assembly. They are harmonically balanced to each other during manufacturing now. That is the cause of the failures previously. I have a previous version of this crank that doesn't seem to be balanced.

They bullshitted you on this one. You can get the balancer as separate part and it is regularly replaced when needed. there is no mystical harmonically balancing happening at least not according to every RE mechanic I asked plus Gemini also agrees.
